Got this call saying that it was Air Canada Jazz saying i won a prize to press 1 to find out more. Didn't. Wish the CRTC would ban these numbers that are doing this.

Just received the call from (416) 572-9989 for a 100,000 mile reward; take it is a scam. Hung up without pushing "1".
Had a call with similar request 1 month ago.

1-(416) 572-9989 is a "spam" cell phone call which , when answered, plays a recording stating that you have won 100, 000 Air Miles, or some other tempting prize from a company that you may or may not actually do business with (i've had spam calls from people claiming to be Bell and Telus, too), if you'll only press "1" I have received this call a couple of times in the last few months. Reverse lookup is fruitless. I often answer telemarketing calls, because if it's an actual person on the line, you can tell them to remove you from the call list, and it's technically illegal for them to call you back after that (yeah, right!) I have been successful in the past, though, so some telemarketing companies must follow the rules. This is a recording however, so there's nothing to do but hang up. It's obviously a scam from a random auto-dialer.

Hi all I just let you know that this auto system is a fake call and we post this to you to understand this. "AIR MILES does not use an automated message to notify Collectors they have won reward miles. Protect your Personal Information. Never give your AIR MILES Collector Account number or PIN in response to a telemarketing call." Always check the website as this "The AIR MILES® Reward Program was informed by our email service provider that they had an unauthorized entry into their email platform, which is the system used to send AIR MILES emails. We have been assured that the only information that may have been exposed was first name, last name and email address of some of our Collectors. Details of your account are not stored in this system and were not at risk. Please note it is possible you may receive spam email messages as a result. We want you to be cautious when opening links or attachments from unknown third parties. We want to remind you that AIR MILES will never ask for your personal information or login credentials in an email. As always, be cautious if you receive emails asking for your personal information and be on the lookout for unwanted spam. It is not our practice to request personal information by email. As a reminder, we recommend that you: - Don't give your AIR MILES Collector number or PIN in email. - Don't respond to emails that require you to enter personal information directly into the email. - Don't respond to emails threatening to close your account if you do not take the immediate action of providing personal information. - Don't reply to emails asking you to send personal information.
