my daughter answered this call and a man asked to speak to the home owner wouldn't identify himself and when asked to leave a message he hung up, and then tried calling it back and the number is no longer in service?????

Yes it is someone claiming to be an air duct cleaning service. It is a scam and they are always calling from different numbers. Please call and report it to the Canadian Do Not Call List. I finally called about a year ago to report it and was told its under investigation and to continue reporting the phone numbers they call from so they can be tract. They asked "Can I speak to the owner of the house?" and I said "No" and hung up on them. Apart from that, nothing else can be done about it in my opinion. They probably use some sort of internet phone number or whatever so that's pretty much it. Pricks!

These are the duct cleaning, they take for ever to answer the phone, the dial system sucks probably because they are calling from India or some other place overseas, they call every week and with different numbers, I have told them over and over not to call it's no use.

Yes.  They had hung up after second ring.  When I tried calling back the operator voice mail said the number had been disconnected.

Yes they are a duct cleaning telemarketing agency. I just reported them 5 minutes ago. PLEASE report them so that action can be taken against companies like this!!
