I just got a call from this number last night but it was someone I knew on the line.  How would they get this number?

Have been receiving calls on my mobile from this number.  Lately it's been about 4am and I don't answer.  I have now blocked this number and it goes directly to my voice mail on my iPhone.  Still annoying that a message is left with nobody speaking.  It sounds like someone has pocket dialed and are either walking along or just sitting there.  Hopefully it will stop soon but I do suspect it is one of those international calling cards because for weeks prior, I was getting the same thing from a number in the UK (+44 1565 622030) and as soon as I blocked that number they started coming from this number.  Pain in the butt but if they keep getting my v-mail, maybe they will eventually give up.

Please help me to identify this number: 1-(416) 511-8946. Someone called me from this number as a missed call. I know that it is from Toronto but why couldn't I call this number again. The message is: "unfortunately, we can't complete your call as dial. Pls check the number again". I would like to know why like this? Is it a call phone made from public telephone station? Or what are the possibilities?

You do realize that phishing calls are illegal and the CRTC do not call list only works for legitimate businesses in Canada?So phishing calls using a spoofed phone number have nothing to do with the Do Not Call List.All the same, report the number to the CRTC.

got a call from (416) 511-8946 today.  someone claiming to be from Yellow Pages, but suggesting (in very broken English) that i was paying too much for Yellow Pages.  I informed  this person that my number was on the Do Not Call Registry (for what that's worth) and asked to speak to their supervisor.  He immediately terminated the call.  Not from Bell i guess.

I asked him if he's in canada now and he said no and didn't understand why I'm asking. After that we finished to talk I tried to call to the number and I heard a voice that saying that this number isn't exist. I think someone are listening from this number
