Phishing scam.  Don't answer.  They're claiming to be either Microsoft, ADT, Telus, Bell, or Visa/MasterCard.  You didn't miss anyone important.

I just received a call from a very ignorant man.I told him I want nothing to do with him and please go away.  I have now blocked the number in my phone so he cannot call back at all.I just wish they would go away.

When someone is calling from overseas then their number is displayed as local canadian number. So may some of your friend is calling you from outside of this country.
