I received a call from (416) 493-7703 and the person on the other end of the line told me that they were conducting a "5 minute" survey on the Ottawa recycling program.  I told her sure I would be willing to answer the questions. She then proceeded to rapidly ask me questions that were garbled and not easily understood.  When I questioned her about one of the questions she responded like a robot...I asked if I could speak with her supervisor, did she have a supervisor, as I didn't think she was doing a very good job in asking the questions...this is after being on the phone for approximately 20 minutes for the 5-minute survey. She hung up the phone.Why is a Toronto area code doing a survey for Ottawa and area?  This makes no sense to me.

This number just called - Friday evening at cca.5:17 pm. ?No answer when I say hello.

This number has been calling everyday around 6:30 p.m. for about 4 days. When I answer it there is no one there.  Called back and it didn't even ring.  I'm in Alberta.  Caller ID just says Ontario.

yup TM's for sure... if u call it back, there is a reorded msg that sez the # is out of service.

SUCCESS! (I hope)I tried David Wilson's advice (see post from April 15th) and received a response from the company.  I left a telephone message and e-mailed Mr. Nanos.  His written reply was:"Thank you for your note. I will have your number removed from the list. Please note you have not received a ?telemarketing? call. We are a market research firm conducting public opinion survey of Canadians.
