I've been receiving calls from this number roughly once a day over the past week.  They never leave a message, and when I pick up, it's just dead air for a few seconds, then they hang up. So annoying.

I decided to use my surfing name to protect my identity.  I also have been receiving numerous calls from this number with mainly hang ups.  Today I finally spoke to someone who represented themselves as a Rogers Cable rep offering incredible HD Channel deals.  I just told them that I already have every conceivable channel Rogers offers and they quickly thanked me and tried to end the call when I said, hold on, "what if I wanted to order one of their incredible deals; could we transact right away, of course they said YES, and thats when they would proceed to acquire your credit card info etc etc.  So Its an identify theft scam. If you find it annoying, just speak to them once, call there bluff and they wont bother you again or you can choose to live dangerously and buy something off them.

Feb. 28, 2008 Called twice within the span of 1 min - rang a couple of times than silent ... than rang again twice and done.

I have received cALL FROM 1416-188-8231 SEVERAL TIMES TODAY, I DO NOT WHAT CAN I DO WHEN CALL THIS NUMBER NO BODY ANSWER...

calls every day but no on is on line now thinking of purchaseing call block feature from telephone co.

This number has been calling a few times every day for the last few weeks.  As I don't recognize the number so I just let it go to voice mail.  Of course no message was left.  Yesterday when the call came in I finally picked it up - a girl (her voice sounds like she's still in high school) said she's calling from Rogers and she's promoting the movie network - she went on and on but this is pretty much all I could understand as she's obviously reading from a script and talking so fast that you could only hear every third word she said.  After telling her a few times that I'm not interested in the movie network then she hang up - I don't even remember she said thank you or goodbye - very unprofessional if you ask me.

When I have time I'm going to call Rogers and ask them to take me off (AGAIN) from their marketing call list.  I didn't do it yesterday because I know that unprofessional girl claimed to be calling from Rogers would just ignore my request.  It's probably what happened with my previous requests.

If any Rogers marketing executives see this comment, SHAME ON YOU!!!!  As a Rogers customer this waste of my time just pushed me to wanting to switch to BELL.
