they called last week and askked if i had a visa to which i repled no...although i do have one. He then said my name again and my address at which time i replied yes. He then said he was calling because visa wanted to send me information but in order to get this information they needed to give me a confirmation number and i would need this number to get the info they were sending me and i would have to confirm my credit card number. I then asked if there was a number that i could call them back at as i was not comfortable confirming my card number and with all the fraud going on....they hung up in me. i called my bank to find out if they have companies phoning me to send out info. she replied that it sounds like phishing. so it's a scam.

tHIS IS A SCAM # SO PLEASE ANYONE WHO GETS IT .. DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY INFORMATION..JUST HANG UP.. THE ONLY PROBLEM WITH THAT IS THEY KEEP CALLING BACK WHEN YOU TRY TO TALK TO THEM .. THEY PRETEND THEY CANNOT UNDERSTAND YOU.. THE CALLING IS REALLY ANNOYING AS THEY CALL ALOT.I AM A SHIFT WORKER AND WHEN THIS CALLING STARTS AND I AM TRYING TO SLEEP IT GETS REALLY ANNOYING.. ITS A SCAM... BE CAREFUL EVERYONE !!!!!

Had this call... saying it was visa or master card.. man had indian accent.. said my name and home address.... offering free sugar??? due to being a good costumer.... will be reporting to rcmp!

This number shows up on my call display as having called on April 12 at 8:30 p.m. The caller didn't reach anyone here, and didn't leave a message. I was just going through the call display records to return calls, and noticed the number; given we've received so many telemarketer and other unwanted calls (despite supposedly signing up -- twice! -- for the "do not call" database), I decided to Google the number after the reverse directory turned up nothing. So much for the bullsh*t "do not call" service; we continue to get lots of calls at all hours from scammers and various pests.
