Got a call from this number. I answered it. It was one of those "This is your second notice that your vehicle warrenty i about to expire".I don't have a car, and I've received similar calls (possibly identical) to what were coming from 909 8429107.

IT'S A SCAM PEOPLE!  Best to not answer at all and if you have any kind of system on your phone system to block, numbers, I'd use it.For those on the Do Not Call list, go to the Do Not Call Government website and report this number.  While the number is a fake, it should be able to be traced to its owner.  The fines for calling people on the Do Not Call list are huge.HOWEVER, even though the area code is 416 (Toronto, Canada), it's very possible that in fact, this number originates in the USA and the scammers can be using Internet Phones where they can put any number they like (thus the 000-).If the number is from the USA, this will be very problematic to get it stopped.You see, the Canadian Do Not Call list is a wonderful thing for these scammers.  They simply go to the website, sign up and pay a fee to download the Do Not Call list.  Canadian Companies are responsible to download the list and add the numbers to their servers to not be called.However, in the USA and other companies, they can still download the list of numbers and names! YES, NAMES!  And our wonderful Canadian Government has so nicely formatted everything so all is nice and neat and can be imported into any database without any further parsing.  How nice of them, yes?So what I'm saying here, is that other than Canada, other scammers in other countries now have access to YOUR PERSONAL NUMBER AND NAME!!! and be assured, they do NOT respect your desire to not be called..... no no... they use those number TO CALL YOU, because they now have a list of VALID AND ACTIVE numbers.Lovely!
