How did they get my number? Is there anyway to stop them from calling?

Got a call from this number through my Rogers cellphone but I didn't pick up. No voicemail. I searched the number through google and notice it's a scam!.

Missed a call to my cell, glad now that I did. I usually try to talk to them if I do pick up because that's the only way to get your number removed if they're operating "quasi-legally" as someone else suggested.

received phone call this morning, important call from airmiles, that I had been randomly selected to get 6,200 airmles... press "something" now.... I hung up, was tempting, but I'm not stupid !

Called my cell around 4pm...computer-generated voice stated I have been selected to win 2500 air miles..press 1 to accept. I hung up. Coincidentally, this webpage has an ad for an AMEX Air miles credit card...

Want to block this number for good...Thx  This scam...
