picked up the phone and the person hung up.

Received call from this number on my direct line at work. No one there. Called the number back to hear an automated message say "we are sorry, this number is no longer in use". How is this possible within a two minute time span!!!

Called my cell too. Thanks to other posters on this number, I didn't pick up.

They called themselves "Global Group Travel", but as soon as I asked them to confirm this, they hung up. It's obvious they know they'd be charged with a $10,000 fine for calling while on the DNC list.I've not bothered to check, but I'm sure you'd find that no such company exists. They will likely be a numbered entity. Their number is owned by Bell, and for the person asking why you can't call them back, it's because they've chosen to let you see "(403) 912-8989" but that's not the number associated with the SIP they're using to dial you from. They're using IP telephony, and it does make it more difficult to figure out who they are and how to get them charged. Anyway, obvious scam.

George at Global Group Travel identified himself as working "with" Airmiles, so I asked him if Airmiles was aware of this partnership? Funny how fast the conversation changed.

On July 9 got a call from this number, I refused to answer as the number was strange to me and looked like a scam.
