Got A Call with No message and told out of service when called back

Got a call today from this number, yes, said I am chosen to get 2500 air miles, and to accept, I have to press 1 but I did not as I obviously thought this is a scam. Why don't these people get their own life! Hate you all!

They called themselves "Global Group Travel", but as soon as I asked them to confirm this, they hung up.  It's obvious they know they'd be charged with a $10,000 fine for calling while on the DNC list.I've not bothered to check, but I'm sure you'd find that no such company exists.  They will likely be a numbered entity.  Their number is owned by Bell, and for the person asking why you can't call them back, it's because they've chosen to let you see "(403) 912-8989" but that's not the number associated with the SIP they're using to dial you from.They're using IP telephony, and it does make it more difficult to figure out who they are and how to get them charged.  Anyway, obvious scam.

This is no 'company' spender63....they are thieves. trying to steal from you. If you find them, call the police.

"Just don't pick up" is not valid advice.Here in Canada we have certain Do Not Call legislation which means the caller:a) must provide some way of being put on their 'do not call' listANDb) must not call someone on the do not call listThis caller is not doing either of those things...Please don't comment if you have nothing to add.--Anyway--I pressed 1 to get an operator to put me on their do not call list but pressing 1 gets a busy signal.

Just got a call from them myself, didn't get to phone in time to answer, I was frantically trying to get to the phone cause looking for work it's a sell I bought just for the purpose of job hunting it's a unlisted number.  I did check into 403 area code and it's from Alberta somewhere:)
