Hi, Ryan, I actually work with the Vehicle Vortex team, and I know for a fact they are not a scam. You can see their ads in Kijiji and other local/regional sites and you can follow them on social networking sites, too. They've got a great database of vehicles that people have mentioned they're looking for which is often where they'll focus their energy - where there is the most demand! Other times, however, our clients are contacted because of previous exposure and experience in their particular region. The idea behind hiring a Marketing Specialist is to obtain the services you need help you sell your vehicle. For most, it's simply exposure. For some, it's financing options. Think about how you want to market your vehicle and pitch it back to your Marketing Specialist, and they'll work hard to deliver on it (within reason of course!).Because there are some concerns with other companies claiming to offer a similar service, we depend on our clients' positive feed back. We offer incentive-driven referral programs and we are constantly exploring new ways to provide clients exposure for their vehicles so your feedback is very important!I hope you give us a shot, Ryan! Regardless, I wish you the best of luck selling your vehicle!

Eugene Begoin, a representative of Index Media Autos, he did see my truck for sale on autotraders. He asked specific questions about the car. He was willing to sell my truck for me for a 300 dollars flat finder fee. He specifically asked for my Mastercard number to put an authorization on it. I asked for some personal information in return, while having the card in my hand. I did receive the web address, which is http://indexmediaautos.com ; when googling the company it became clear that the caller was a scammer. See http://whocallsme.com/Phone-Number.aspx/(403) 770-9667, however Phone numbers given:+1 800-495-1287 and (204) 415-5761. He promised to email me the details as soon as I confirm the deal.Caller: Index Media Autos

Good to check this before saying, "Sure." My call came from this number 1-(204) 415-5691. The gentlement claimed to be from Index Media Autos. For only $300 they would guarantee my car sale within two weekends-how they can guarantee anything is an amazing claim unless they are willing to buy it. So be prepared and be forewarned that they will be calling once your ad makes it onto the Auto Trader website. Do not under any circumstance give them any more info and for gods sake do not sent them any money.
This guy just called me saying that he needed me to give him approval for the "professional" way of doing this, (which he explained he'd take a percentage of the sale price, in this case it was about $800 and i wouldnt have to pay until the car was sold) but then told me it would be cheaper to just pay him the $489 up front. Yesterday when i talked to him it was $378. When i told him we might as well do it the professional way since i didnt know who he was and what company he was with, he got very defensive and started telling me that the professional way was actually going to cost me about $1700, trying to convince me that it would now be a bad decision. He was making himself look really bad, so I'm glad i checked this out! SCAM ALERT!!!
When i asked for a website i can look him up on he was claiming that he was from autocredit.ca , and that finance company was with citi finacial.
*****I cant believe this has been going on since march! incredible!******
