got their call saying that I should call back about an account and it got cut (message was on my answering machine). Sound not right so I check on google!  i shock to find all those people reporting them and yet how come those people are still doing it! Is there no governement agency to stop that kind of thing!!!! Are we not paying enough taxes!

I got a call on January 4, 2009 at 6:15 pm from a guy with a thick Indian accent. He said he was calling from CCCA - Credit Card Consumer Advocates. He said his name was Dave Lawrence and that this ID # was 78238. He told me that I could get interest rates as low as 1.5 - 6 %, depending on how I qualify. He asked which of my credit cards had the highest interest rate. I told him Visa. He asked what bank it was with. I should have realized at that point, that this was a scam! He asked me how high my current interest rate is and then gasped saying how much less I could be paying. He asked me to get my credit card and then said: Do you see this phone number on the back of your card: (416) 465-4653. Then he asked me for the 3 digits next to my signature!!! I laughed and said: "Are you serious!? There is NO WAY I am giving out the security digits on the back of my card to some stranger." I went on to tell him that I would be looking into his company. This is horrible! I NEVER fall for this kinda stuff but these guys are quite clever. I am so upset that they are doing this to people. I know so many people who would have fallen for this, unfortunately. :(

We have had many calls from this number, now knowing what the number is, since we got our caller ID. Today, Jan. 7, 2010 at 2:50 pm, our answering machine picked up the call the mechanical female voice said Sorry that was an invalid response please press 9 now to speak to an representative repeating the message twice.  We have had the same call before caller ID and many other calls from "Unknown sources" and are getting fed up with it, so that is why I am finally writing to complain. Hope it does some good.

Alert! This is nigerian fraud - do not give out any information what so ever, report to any credit card that they are trying to use and police for advice, they are very aware of these guys.

THEY CALLED AND SAID THAT IT WAS CRITICAL THAT I RETURN THE CALL(recording). I blocked the # called it back. It rang 8-9 times. He refused, refused and refused to tell me what CCA was short for and accused me of playing a cloak and dagger game. I hung up when he suggested I google the short form and found it to be a collection agency. I called the guy back without blocking the#. It was the same guy. He was looking for 'Fatima.' This was a month ago. The phone just showed the same a**holes after I told him to remove me from the list(all) lists. Phishing scam?

Called me at 12:34 PM today to a 780 area code number thatis PRIVATE UNLISTED UNPUBLISHED ??????????????THANKS A LOT TELUS!!!!!!!They hung up before I answered.The next time they call - this is what I do to these losers - answer the phone and gently leave it off the hook untill the line beeps.So you guys - it's not VISA that is selling your phone number.TELUS IS SELLING YOUR PHONE NUMBER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
