Yesterday I got a call from Creative Solutions that my computer is infected. they took away my money . Later I came to know about this scam, can anyone let me know how to get my money back.

Someone claiming to be named Max from Creative Solutions Online calls to say I have a virus on my computer and I should turn the computer on and they will explain how to fix it.  They said my IP address has been routed to them and information is being taken off my computer.  This sounds like an attempt by this caller to steal my data!  I have no history at all with Creative Solutions Online and my anti-virus program is a very reputable one that's fully up to date and I have a new (only 3 months old) Windows 7 computer. Needless to say, I didn't turn on my computer for him and hung up.  I did a lookup on this domain and see that it's a company claiming to have a Clearwater, FL address (nowhere near his phone number in Alberta Canada) and the domain owner, per whois.domaintools.com/creativesolutionsonline.net is Debnath Rubel of Sibyl Technology Solution in Kolkata, India (phone and email listed there), so it's all sounding very fishy.

Someone from "Creative Solutions" called to tell me that my computer had a ton of viruses on it or something. He wanted to me turn my computer on and do some things. I did not do it, because I've never hired creative solutions to do any kind of virus checking for me. He told me his first name, Max (in a very deep Indian accent lol) and when I asked for his last name, he hesitated... and... paused as if he was trying to think of one. He finally came up with "Rodrigue." They also said they were based in Clearwater, Florida. After about 15 minutes, I had enough and just hung up. This is a scam that appears to be exploiting the fact that most people don't know what you can tell a company by doing certain things and going to certain places.. even from your own home computer.

eugh creative solutions took control of my computer too. I realised they were a scam after letting them take control over my computer. I'm not sure what this means, have they now got access to all my data or because I didn't give them any money, did I avoid the scam? They were so rude, so angry

I got the call too, and I just told him "I don't have a computer!! " and he says, oh.... ok, goodbye. End of story
