I answered, they asked for the lady of the house, I asked how could I help her, she said she is calling from feature family films and she was conducting a 90second survey on the effect that films have on children. She asked if I thought films these days had too much violence and nudity for children. I said yes. She then went on to talk straight for about 45 seconds about the effects movies have on kids (honestly, I think it was a voice recording that prompts a certain response based on what you say) and that based on my answers, she recommends "___???___" as a movie for me to purchase. She asked if she could send me 2 feature films for $19.95 each, I said no. She then continued to explain that feature family films is not a regular movie club where you are required to keep purchasing movies, that is a 1 time offer and that if I would like I can buy 1 movie at $19.95 and then buy the other one later or something,,,yada yada, I forget what else she said because I zoned out for a bit while she kept yapping away, I swear it was a machine talking and not an actual person. She then asked (after I said no not interested) if she could put me on the callback list which would mean they would check back up on me in 3-6 months, I said no. She happily said "ok no problem! Thank you for your time!".......again, I am about..95% sure I was talking to a machine the entire time, something was off about the way she was talking. I'm in Edmonton (area code 780)

they just phoned me and said they where from feature family films and the effect films have on children ... i said i had a question and she said sure thing very friendly ....i asked is this a religious organasation?....(fearfuly).....let me transfer you to my supervisor ...


this went on for a few minutes cause i kept saying i did not want to speak with any one i just wanted to know if this was a religious motivated call i was polite and respectful she then hung up  .....it clearly is and its there mandate to never revel that its deceitful and it angers me

Called my home around 7pm, and i'm in the 780 area code.  Didn't answer, and glad i didn't after reading here the response.

I'm in Vancouver and got the same call today.They asked the same question "Is the lady of the house home?" and answered with a quick 'No'.After about 3 seconds the reply was "I understand, Thank You" and they hung up.It is an automated service trying to sell you subscriptions to a movie service.It's dumb though, it only understands YES and NO. If you say something unexpected... that's where the 'just a moment I'll put you through to my supervisor comes in', they try to transfer the call to a live operator, if one is available.Good voice though, obviously a digital recording and not synthesized speech.I wonder how many idiots they actually get to sign-up for a service you KNOW is going to be run honestly?Lets see, they need your credit card number and are going to send you one movie a month for you to try until you opt out....
