Cynic

I too got a call. Ecua-Air Health are the Alberta distributers of Filterqueen. Agreed to and saw demonstration. Found the demonstrator to be a little boring. Excellent product-Filterqueen, with unsurpassed reputation. I have family members who have owned Filterqueen products for years and have raved about them. They said it was the best machines they have seen or owned. They are somewhat expensive, but I guess you pay for what you get. I unfortunately could'nt purchase machines at time of presentation, much to my and especially my wife's regret. Based on what we saw and from all the glowing reviews from family members that own Filterqueen products, we would recommend these products to anybody. I'm not a fan of the marketing practice of companies these days, but we would'nt have had the opportunity to view these products if it were'nt for the survey we took. All in all, it was a disappointing experience, only because we could'nt afford these awsome machines.

Good point Victor! I don't agree with these marketing practices either. I do have to acknowledge that their products are awsome! My mother remembers Filterqueen from many years ago. I guess their reputation speaks for itself. I too bought these machines and I am happy I did. They have made a big difference in our home. My son has asthma and he notices the difference, so I guess that justifies the high price I paid for the vacuum and air purifier. My mother mentioned she paid a high price for her Filterqueen many, many years ago as well, but she still uses it today and will never use another brand again. I used to use that machine when I lived at home and was summoned to clean every week. My mother said they sold them door to door in the past. I guess they now sell them through these annoying marketing practices. Times change and I guess now a days, people don't let door to door salesmen in their house, so these companies have to find creative methods of getting to show their products to people. The strange thing is, that even though we hate these marketing practices, we still find their products amazing and buy them. Are we fools or are we just willing to spend a lot more to clean our homes and have a healthier home? I think the few of us who did purchase, purchased because of the latter. We were impressed enough to make our own logical decisions. The reason I found this blog in the first place was because our neighbor told us they were upset with this company and their methods of marketing. When I saw this blog, I thought it was responsible of me to give an objective opinion.

Caller from this number claims to represent Ecua-Air Health. I Googled this "company", but no website, no info whatsoever. What did come up was a customer-discussion between people who had dealt with this "company". The word "scam" was mentioned.I live with an elderly person who got a call from this "company". This person allowed a representative into my house, complete with large and small boxes with all sorts of so-called air-health equipment. I don't trust what's going on. The sales person was very aggressive and pushy: high sales-pressure tactics (like promising gifts). ?I finally intervened and told the man to leave.

This call is for a vacuum cleaner demonstration.  They start with air cleaning information but quickly move into a sales pitch for a vacuum cleaner.  The sales man brings both the air cleaner and the vacuum into your house and does a 2.5 hour demo showing how well the product sucks up dust and lint out of your carpet.  It seems like a very good product if you want to spend between 2400 and 3700 for a vacuum cleaner.  Do not let him spill out the contents of the cleaner onto your carpet; he will try to clean it with your old unsatisfactory vacuum cleaner and then ask you snottily "what's the difference if i use yours or mine?"  That really irritated me.   Don't bother to go for the vacation prize, it is for another demo for another sales pitch and you are not assured of getting the destination you want.... go for one of the other two items.
