Bell is robo calling - again!
Joy, never 'speak' with them, never...that's the hook, your number lives on for yet another sale if you speak or respond to them.NEVER give them your 'number' back, never. They don't even know which number they called as it's a 'robo' generated list, they don't even do the dialing.Do report to the CRTC - it works. Not so sure about using this 1-+1 888-495-8801, as that's for anti-fraud.Telemarketing calls re not fraud per se.USE the DNC SITE set up for us, if we don't complain how are they to help stop it?https://www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/plt-cmp-engToll-free: 1-866-580-DNCL (1-+1 866-580-3625)This WILL get them put on notice. It's usually Bell behind the robo calls, likely from all their former customers leaving them in droves - lol likely they'll have huges lists to sell for some time to come, but now it's only American companies (or Canuck shell companies that are hiding their souce - Bell), who are calling Canadians now..Bell was recently fined twice for violating these rules as well as ripping off customers on those 'bundle' contracts. I was one of those customers that they tried to rip off, I complained via the CRTC and they had to remove my name from the collections - they are like the mafia!Use your right to complain and make it stop or harder.

I'm in Ottawa. It was an automated message saying "this is Lisa calling about your credit card. There is no problem, it's just to notify you that your credit card company has now qualified you for a lower interest rate as low as 6%. Press 9 to be connected to a representative." there was no mention of which company which screamed scam so I hung up. I tried calling the number back to see if it was blocked for incoming calls or if it would connect to a company. Turns out that identical automated message qualifying people for the lower rate is also on the incoming line. It went directly to the automated message with still no acknowledgment of any company.

Recieved a call asking me to "be connected to a representative" if I pressed 1. They said that their name was Lisa and that "my credit card company" was going to qualify me for 6% interest rate. It was an automatic recording and I hung up. They didn't say who my credit card company was. Thanks.

When I get a message like that I tell them to hold on while I get my dad. I then keep them on the line by telling them he is on his way.Like to steal as much of their time as they steal of mine.
