Just called me in victoria, they said they were from rogers, i won something and press 1 to accept, i hung up, and after reading some of these posts i am glad i did, sounds like a scam

Received a call from this number saying I won air miles. I've received this type of call  so many times so I decided to stay on the line and tell these people to stop bothering me at work and if they didn't take our number out of their system, I would report them to the BBB or the police.  The guy on the other end called me all sorts of names like F-_ _ _ing ______ (I won't repeat his dirty words but you get the idea.)  This is unbelievable - surely with all the technology in this world, we can stop this type of harassment!

I just got a call in Vancouver.

I just a call from this number and did answer and it was a recording machine saying that call was from my cell phone company saying that they want to talk to me, and ask me to press number one to take the call, and because is my phone company I did press the number and as soon as i press it, the call was ended.
I hope the police do something about this kind of scam.
