This number showed up in my voip.ms call log at 3:24 today.  I've set up some rules so select known numbers get dialed directly through to me, but unknown numbers must key in an extension (announced) to get further. The thing of beauty is that since I've put this in place, robocalls & telemarketers cannot be bothered to key the extra digits to get through.So, the number of useless calls has plummeted dramatically. I've even been able to dodge politicians, too.

They said I had a security home system with them.. I asked what company they were calling from. they couldn't answer. They said they were going to install another camera opn my property... wtf? I just hung up

This company does not respect requests of not to be called again, nor the "Do not call list". They deserve to  be fined. The phone service I pay for they use to harass me. I believe this is against my basic human rights. As a matter of fact any company or politician trying to use my phone line to advertise themselves is not right.

Caller claimed to be calling from Chubb Edwards. Caller ID gave me (289) 801-3450. I am sure that this was not actually Chubb Edwards. Calling to sell me home security monitoring. Gave me a bogus address in Brampton on a street that doesn't even exist. Also gave me the bogus phone number (289) 801-9227 when asked for a contact number.Various people were on the phone during the call including: Roy "The Manager" who 'apologized' and begged me to not complain to CRTC. Roy got frustrated and had to hand the phone back over to original caller when giving me the bogus phone number. This "gentleman" gave me a garbled address and a contact name there of John Carter.This call was recorded and will all appear soon on the DougvsThePhone Podcast. Episode 22.
