I wish I could redirect all these calls to my MP, that way we might get some laws passed to stop this type of call. Then again how would the political parties be able to tell us where (not) to vote.

Did anyone ever press '1' to find out how you can get this, as the message says press 1 now.?   I did! it is a gimmick, doesn't work.

Telemarketing recording for seniors' lifeline or something. I hung up and called the DNC complaint line at 1-866-580-DNCL (1-+1 866-580-3625). Please take the time to file a complaint. I know that's somewhat inconvenient but not as inconvenient as being scammed. If no one files a complaint, they will never be stopped.
