leaving msgs in mailboxes saying they are interested in buying your house and to call (250) 984-7822.  some sort of scam.

Calls and hangs up when answered, or calls and hangs up when answering machine comes on.

Sent us a handwritten letter stating that they wanted to buy our house and for us to give them a call.  The lady that answered the phone had an american accent.
