Just got confirmation it is a scam. Part of their technique is to make the phone number appear to be  local.

Call from this number posing as West Jet saying I had money owing to me ($999.00) from my last West Jet flight. Someone knew I recently used West Jet but flight didn't amount to nearly that amount. Sounds like a scam. Just hung up. I was a recording...Anyone have similar calls.
