Calling is automatic.  Starts with a canned message about a "second and final notice" to reduce my interest rate, then you might get connected to a telemarketer after several rings. He identifies himself (repeatedly) when asked "Which company is calling?" as representing the "Lower Interest Rate Department of Visa and MasterCard".  When I point out VISA and MC are two separate entities, he still insists on knowing which card I use.  So I ask what number he is calling me from.  At that point, he must finally realize I am wise to his SCAM, and he hangs up.
