They continue to call here for someone who lived here with us and has moved on after being told repeatedly not to call this number. We are on a no call list.

Collections for BC MSP. They call but don't say who they are and start their message with a toll free number. Only found out who they are by Googling their phone number. A very short mixup with and employer that was rectified in less than a week set these idiots off on their collections regiment. The obviously don't get updates from MSP cause our premiums are current. They must not be able to report to the credit bureaus as we have not seen anything reported after 4 months of ignoring them.

This is an independent Collection Agency for BC MSP! BC is THE ONLY PROVINCE THAT CHARGES FOR MSP!!! Our rates are so high (for people that employers do not pay this on their behalf) And it has been going up every year! That's why they need a collection agency , because no one can afford it! Maybe NDP will get rid of this EXTRA TAX ! The MSP TAX RATE that we all pay the same amount for, whether we make 30 thousand or 300 thousand a year! HOW IS THAT FAIR?!

You'll change your tune pretty fast once you see your first emergency room bill! Socialized healthcare benefits everyone, go live in the US and pay $900 a month for insurance. While you're at it, why don't you pay for your own roads, school and military since your tax dollars are going to that too. On that note, your hydro bill and a lot of your food is government subsidized so you'll have to start paying full price. You can afford it? oh good! But your neighbours probably can't so f*ck them right? As long as you're ok.

Called, left a message claiming to be from BC MSP. Directed me to call a 1-877 number. Neither this, nor the 877 number are on the BC MSP website. Before returning the call, look up the MSP number on their website and call that number if you're actually concerned. Scam.

I just got a 2nd or 3rd call from this number with a message saying BC Ambulance Service has sent me something & I should call a 1-877 number to respond. We have never had an ambulance here and obviously they use this number with different scam stories.

if you've had a ride in an ambulance and haven't paid for it yet?..this is the number they harrass you from.
Further clarification...
I meant to say:If you don't owe MSP money (and/or you'd rather not get the calls at all), block the number if your service provider/handset/smartphone/VOIP softphone allows you to. I do this on both my old-school cell and my phone/PC app for any nuisance calls.[If you do owe MSP money, you should still receive quite frequent invoices mailed to your home.]

It's MSP. I know because I'm behind on bills now that I don't have an income anymore. I'm supposed to be paying $125/mo, for myself and my wife, and another $120/mo in anti-depressants. And my yearly income last year? $39,000. In Ontario, you have to earn $200,000 a year because you are paying $125/mo. BC is a rip off. Worst basic health insurance costs in Canada. For anyone that wants to fight the charges, when they send the amount to collections, simply send them a letter through registered mail saying "I dispute these charges. I suggest you take this matter to court if you want to collect on the amount." Then in court fight it all the way. In Canada, we're supposed to have free/affordable health care. Basing "premiums" on my last year's income, even though I don't have a job right now, makes absolutely no logical sense. As well, making me pay for my spouse's MSP premiums, even when she is unemployed, is just complete horse-s***.

Msp collections can not affect your credit score, dude is mistaken, they can garnish your wages though
