Just got a call from this number, I was busy didn't pick up and the phone stopped. Then right after same number called again. After I was finished my dishes a few minutes later I looked and saw the number. When I realized it was a local (Victoria, BC) number, I tryed to call it back. All it said when I phoned the number is "The customer you are calling is currently unavailble." Definately kind of fishy. ((SEPT 11/2012))

Got another *^&#@ call from the "Microsoft Windows tech dept." saying my computer was corrupted & sending them messages, etc. etc. etc. Played along (I have a Mac), then asked for a phone# to call them back. Was given 1-646-251-1090 which WhitePages shows as an unlisted mobile in NY City area. Also did a *69 to Telus and was told the calling number was (250) 220-1090 (supposedly in Victoria, BC, where I am). Called it twice and got no answer. Canada911 shows it as unlisted.

Received a call from (250) 220-1090 this morning (Monday) at 8:00 am .Only partial message left.Must be a scam
I never buy from spammers/telemarketers
This number called me yesterday, at 12:50 Pacific, and their automated system left a partial message on my voice-mail, saying that "there is nothing wrong with my account" and "you may qualify for a 6.9% rate", and "press 1 to talk to Card Services or press 2 to be removed".Probably a SCAMMER trying some IDENTITY THEFT information-harvesting, or just simply trying to get my current credit-card information so that they could abuse it.

Called again today at 11:55AM and when answered, no one on the other end. Tried to have that number screened out by Telus but didn't work because according to Telus this number is allegedly disconnected or belongs to a business... Telus call screen "service" is anything but a service and they are really unhelpful when dealing with scammers.

Got a text message from (250) 220-1090 after placing a bike for sale on usedvictoria.Text said "interested in bike for sale" "call (778) 678-0250" in that order? This is a scam fake buyer who will then send you a fake moneyorder overpayment and request that you refund the difference.

3rd phone call from this ^ss^ole wanting remote access from my computer.Got smart and called the national do not call centre and reported him then called the Canadian Anti-Fraudcentre and reported him. Their number is 1-+1 888-495-8501. CALL THEM. Unless we take action it will only get worse.

Got a call from this number at 7 a.m. on a Saturday (how rude!!...but of course these scammers are probably off shore and are too stupid to understand time zones). I picked up and just got dead air. It is interesting that this number has infrequent complaints...5 over 9 months...and that the scam varies from the old credit card scam to the even older computer malfunction scam. I don't know what they were after from me this morning...however, I got two calls from "James" yesterday (James who had a heavy south asian accent) saying he was from Microsoft and that my computer (which was unplugged and packed up due to construction) was sending "error messages" yada yada yada. The call display said it was an unknown number and unnamed person calling. I'm guessing my call this morning was a follow-up to that attempt yesterday. My last words to "James" after stringing him along for awhile were that he needed to learn when to give it up and move on to the next victim, that he was a criminal and should get an honest job. I hate criminals but absolutely detest stupid criminals.
