have gotten a couple calls from 236-000-2116 in the past couple of days.  The first time I couldn't understand the person (accent) and eventually they just hung up.  The second time, today, I pushed 9, got someone and when they started in, I asked what company they worked for to which he said "well it's not any credit card company, any visa/mastercard".  I replied, "well I'd like to know what commpany this is and a number to reach you.....*click*", the hang up.

Stupid scam artists...

Had the same problem.  They call my machine picks up and nothing is said.

Today I've received a call from this number, as well as from 614-791-4717 (which I've discovered on this site is another number that harrasses people about credit collecting). I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message. The 614 number called my cell phone, and this number (236-000-2116) called my landline six hours later. No one in this household is in debt and we don't have loans. I'm concerned as to why they're bothering us. Have they stolen information?

I answered this call and pressed 9 to speak to the service agent, knowing full well this is a scam operation.  They asked me for my credit card numbers to verify my accounts. I told them they could verify my account by reading the numbers to me, at which point they refused.  Unfortunately, many people fall for this scam.  Never, give out personal information to random callers!!

Wanted to lower my interest rate on credi card.  They asked my name and I said what is you name and where are you calling from?  They hung up.

we recieved a call from this number at 7:15 A M THEY WANTED TO GIVE US A LOW INTERESTED PLATINUM CREDIT CARD ,I JUST LOVE TO BE AWAKEN IN THE EARLY MORNING,DON'T KNOW HOW THEY GOT OUR NUMBER?
