Called around 7:00 pm but when I answered phone all I got was dead air. Why do I keep my land line?

This "company" keeps calling me saying that my Windows computer has a virus. I never let them get further than that before I tell them to put me on their 'do not call list', which has never happened. I don't even own a windows computer. I am very annoyed that they keep calling me.
