Answered call from (204) 477-0924; calling "on behalf of the Globe & Mail".  I replied with "Do not call again, thank you" and hung up.... so far no further calls.

Last time a newspaper called it was the Vancouver Sun.  I let the kid read off his little script up to the part where he thinks he's signing me up then I said, now you do have a version in braille, right?  I have no idea whether they do or not, but the kid hung up so fast I thought my eardrum might rupture.  That was 5 years ago, and they have not called me since then.

9AM M4Jan10 No one there. I figure they do this to find out if you are home and then another number calls you back within a short time with a tape message about your credit "Hullo, this is an important message about your credit card..." trying to get people to pay for something (but I hang up). First time in a while I've had this, but expecting that 2nd call within the hour. WVanc BC PS I expect they read this as part of their research so maybe this'll push them to a new, annoying tactic--sorry all.

This number has called me at least twice a week for the last 5 months. The man who answered sounds drunk or stoned and says he is calling on behalf of the Vancouver Sun. I asked him why when Vancouver is in BC and this number is from Manitoba. He said that they were the head office. I will be calling the Vancouver Sun Monday to report it as well.
