I received a missed call from this number too on Dec 10th and got the same prompt when I called it back. Based on the area code, it seems to be a call originating from Winnipeg Manitoba. I thought that I missed a important call from the CRA etc. but turned out to be junk call!!! Sucks!

08-JAN-2011 this number has been calling: during the day:  during the evening:  during the weekend.  Only name on call display is MANITOBA.  Never leaves a message. I pay good money for the convenience of a phone - MY convenience - NOT A NUISANCE CALLER.

Not able to leave a message - must be trying to sell something that I don't want nor am interested in.

(204) 284-0838 called me and left a message. It was from Bank of Nova Scotia. But when I called it the number was long distance and out of service?

Just want to punch thee clowns in the mouth. What a waste of time.

I've had this call for the last week and ignored it until last night when curiousity got the better of me. An East Indian Gentleman claiming to be be from the Calgary Herald called to say they had been unable to process my last 2 payments, suspicion aroused straight away not only by the Manitoba number but as I only subscribed to the Herald the week before - calls started about 2 days later. He told me 4 numbers which he said were the last for digits of my credit card and could I confirm they were correct - the numbers were meaningless, and I assume a rouse to make me confirm and divulge the full 16 digits. When I confirmed to him the fake numbers were correct he got a little flustered, and stated that he had just processed my payment again and the card was declined, the speed at which this aleged transaction took place was also incredible. I thanked him for the information and said I'd call the bank. If the caller had been from the Herald I assume my delvery would have been stopped for non payment, but the caller was too stupid to add this little detail. Calls to the bank confirmed this is a fraud scam and to the Herald that my one and only payment was good. I am waiting too see if the bozo calls back tonight.

My concern is that this started almost immediately after the subcription started with the Calgary Herald , so I can't help thinking something may have been compromised there
